Finish the Phrase...

HW: either comment here or write on paper for class tomorrow:

"The philosopher must return to the cave because..." ...finish the sentence (or two or three) with your best, most thoughtful reason. Be creative! Be logical!

  2. even in the case of the philosopher bieng well-enriched and wise, he must return to the cave because he will learn new methods/ideas from basic and old information that is always worth revisiting.

  3. the philosopher needs to go back to the cave in order to show people the truth (he can pick up the objects that are casting the shadows and bring them in front of the people, right?) And also if the philosopher doesn't return, he will be eaten by the flying chuck norris aligators, who leave their underground lair every second tuesday in May to wreak havoc on the world.

  5. it is his duty to attempt to enlighten the prisoners of the cave. It doesn't matter if they don't believe the stories; in his heart he knows what he has seen.

  6. ...he must go back to the cave to prove, that he is indeed telling the truth. He can not let himself give up on what he believes is the truth.
