As we watched some of the beginning of The Matrix i was confused because i did not know much of the details. Here are some questions/thoughts that i pondered during the movie:
1. What is it that Neo knows that has made him such a unique target to the agents and Morphius?
2. Was the real universe made up of millions of human biengs that are practically held in chambers until they are needed?
Also,maybe the other members of Morphius's group must have gone through the same process that Neo is/did going/go through.

I think Neo is a target of the agents because he has some understanding that the world he sees everyday is just a cover for something else. Morpheus thinks Neo is "the one" because of some prophecy that comes later in the movie. And I think all of the other members of Morpheus' gang went through the same process Neo did.
ReplyDeleteNeo is valuable to morphius and the agents because of his latent abilities that are discovered later in the movie. The bleak universe consisting of the millions of human beings is meant to be the real universe but this leads us to even more phillisophical questions. Is that the real universe or merely another matrix, one deceiving the robots perhaps. As we find out later in the movie all of morpheus's members have undergone Neo's expierance.
ReplyDeletei think that the agents are part of the matrix itself and morphius was once part of the matrix and rebeled, but im not sure cause i have never seen the movie before
ReplyDeleteNeo knows the true nature of the matrix, but only subconsciously, so in other words he doesn't know that he knows( at least in the beginning). As for what is the "real" universe, I don't want to give too much away, but one of them may be "more real" ( hint: look for the scene in the restaurant) And yes all of the other people outside of the matrix went through something more or less like neo's exirience.

ReplyDeletei was also wondering why the Agients are after Neo and Morphius's gang. Maybe because they are sent to destroy the resistance against the Matrix? i have a feeling it has to do with Neo being the "One"

ReplyDeleteNeo is such a unique target to Morpheus and the agents because he is so valuable and knows so much. I have never seen the movie,but this is what i have understood so far.
ReplyDeleteNeo is the only one to try to defy the reality he knows. And remember that he was also pursuing Morpheus. I'd imagine the freaky womb-thing is how one is first "inducted" into the Matrix.
ReplyDeleteI think there is something hat we dont know about Neo yet that will tell us why its him. I think that he must hve something uniqe about him, mostlikely relating to computers maybe. I also find your second queston troubling to think about because what if that is the workd they are preciving. Is that why Ne is so confused? mabye they just let him out of his chamber and the life he thought he was living was all a dream ( or the other way around)
