matrix controll program

so, since the people in the matrix are just a computer program, what if they just stop eating, a computer program can't just die

how come people just didnt demagnitize machines to begin with rather than resorting to scorching the sky

  2. The people in the matrix eat because it is something the mind finds essential, the mind needs to percive that the body is eating, or else it will assume that the body is dying, and then the people (including their real life bodies) will die. As Morpheus said "You'r mind makes it real" As for EMPing the whole earth at the start of the war, the humans probobly didn't have enough EMPs to do it at that point, and also there were prolly other electronics that they wanted to keep running.

  3. well maybe they ddnt know about the EMF when they came up with the plan to block out the sun. Well they wouldnt stope eating because the people think it real so they just eat like it was real, because it it.

  4. People in the matrix die of natural causes too. The system is self sustaining, as the fluids and other parts of the body are used to feed the whole operation. However, I don't know what happens to the program that's running someone who dies.

To answer your other question, it does seem like the movie has elements of Plato's allegory of the cave in it, plus more that we probably don't recognize.

Doc P remember you need to send me another invite...
