Matrix

As for todays viewing i found that it was full of new information, new areas of debate, and lots of new violence. One point of discussion is of Cypher. Why do you think he wanted out of the Matrix so badly? Another point, the oracle says that Neo will have to make a choice between his life or Morphius's. Does this mean that only one of them can live? Because as of now it seems like Neo will save Morphius as well as live himself.

  1. I think Cypher wanted to return to the Matrix because he was disenfranchised. He was tired of taking orders from Morpheus and suffering for the good of humanity. He felt like there had been very little real in improvement in the human's cause. His position was understandable but the actions he took were not. Selling out one's entire race can never be justified.

  3. Me, having not seen the movie, predict that Morphius will be saved and Neo will survive, but the poison the agents injected into morphius would cause him to eventually flip and the crew is going to have to kill him.
    ...I hope I'm wrong

  5. He wanted to ge out because of Morpheus, gettting bossed around and no benifit but the same crap everyday. There was no change really he wanted a more exciting life, cypher need women and he only has trinity to look at and she doesnt even care for him, he need more. Morpheus will get out safely will a few fatal wounds and will die later on.

  6. Cypher wanted out of the matrix for selfish pleasures. He wants the best, and does not care if it is real or not. He is sick of sacrificing his guilty pleasures for the greater good. He wold rather be rich than real.
