Maybe you've heard of the X-Prize, a $10 million award originally given for developing a successful commercial passenger space vehicle. Now, the second X-Prize has been announced, and it's going toward the development of a rather different tech: read about it (the first couple of paragraphs are background), and think about the possible consequences.
